Biju's Adventures

Great news – we've only moved in 2 days and already we have our first brunch guest!  We ran into Lloyd on the streets of Hanoi today.

Just wanted to plug my buddy Biju's blog in India.  The man is doing some really selfless work.. 'kingdom work'.. in Chenai, India -- helping missionaries out.

Check it out at: http://www.bijucmathew.blogspot.com/

Shalom.

Great news – we've only moved in 2 days and already we have our first brunch guest!  We ran into Lloyd on the streets of Hanoi today.

Background: we had met Lloyd earlier on a van ride in the Mekong, heading back to Saigon.  We gave him some fruit.  He gave us some candy.  After a conversation about the cultural dynamics of Asian and S. African immigrants later, we were in the good.

We hung out a little bit more before heading separate ways: YN and I to Phu Quoc and Lloyd to the beaches of Mui Ne and Hoi An.  In a bit of backpacker karma, we ran into him again today on some random Old City street, and so we'll have a good chance to test out our kitchen tomorrow morning.

Traveler's Note: It's actually not that hard to run into travelers multiple times in Vietnam.  The country is so thin and long that there are basically only two directions you can travel: north and south.  If you are heading the same way, eventually you'll run into someone again or at least, you'll hear of them again at popular watering holes.

I'm finally growing a mullet!! W00t.
