Exciting
Ok I'm excited but I don't know why. My cash is going to be dry pretty soon so I figure I'll have to get a temp job pretty soon. Which sucks, but I figured it's better this way than be stuck in a place I really hate. So to not be so negative, I'm thinking hard about:
- The half-moon bay in Kas where the topaz sank into aquamarine and my days were interrupted by lunch of fish sandwiches, writing and diving off the rocks.
- The beagle that I'm going to get as soon as I settle into a job
- The Vespa that will be mine (cherry red)
- The alley down my hostel in Bangkok where each day is a culinary adventure as food stall set up shop: fishballs, curried noodles, steamed buns, chilied meats skewers...
- The awesomeness of low-key Park Slope, mainly all the trees, cafes, and bistros
- Terese's camera that she left for me... more photos to come! Of random and stupid and awesome and everything!
- My newfound (and grudging) acceptance that I am one of those people that need structure before I start writing. So I am supremely excited about plot outlines and character sketches and background boards.
- My new Vietnamese coffee filters -- now I can make as much of that rich, dark, sweet, fatigue-warding substance as I want. Yeehaw.
Will all of this somehow negate the suckiness of getting a temp job? I hope so.
i thought you got a job???

you're getting a vespa?!?!? have i told you that my dream is to ride a little scooter to work in the near future? this is the upgrade of my old dream to ride a bike to classes in college (this obviously never happened at the 2 block large campus of penn).
