Grown Up

We had dinner at the Stanton Social tonight as a little thing for Marjorie's going away to London thing.  I cannot say enough good things about this place.. so just take a look at their menu.  Instead of ordering large portions, you can order lots of little things to nibble and try out.  We did our best and ordered half the menu – from Kobe burger sliders to lobster rolls to squid lettuce-wraps to.. mmm.. French Onion soup dumplings.  Tonight was my first time in the lounge instead of the main dining area and it was pretty crowded for a Wed night.  There was a party of about 20 for a birthday.  I think they were lesbians cause it was all women.  Wow. I am judgmental.

Anyhoos. The food was awesome! I'm keen to check it out again so hint hint.. let me know!

Met up with Bingo for dessert at Chikalicious in the Village.  Did I mention that she's awesome? But after 6 years of friendship, this is how we talk.

Me: Hey fatass.
Her: What? You're the fatass.  And you're old! What's up old man?
Me: Shaddup fatass.
Her: Old man. Old short man.
Me: Aw, that's going to far.
Her. I'm sorry... not really.
Me: Fatass.

Yeah, I have to grow up.

Sigh. One thing I've noticed is that all my favorite places have now been discovered by people in want of trendiness. I hate crowded places.. they make me feel like I can't be a regular there.  It's like social Darwinism here in New York – you always have to stay a step ahead.  And I do want to feel like I belong to a neighborhood.

Sounds like dim sum or tapas...

Yea, grow up, Josh. ;) And stay away from those BT ppl. Hahaha. I am trying to be hip with the city lingo.

Thanks, C. I guess I just have to hibernate on the weekends to stay away from the BT hordes. Ha.
