Hooray for Turkish buses!

Ah – such a long way away from the Yunnan buses with secondhand smokers and pigs in the literal blankets.

On long distance buses in Turkey the seats actually recline, there are waiters on board to serve you water, cola, tea and coffee, and they spray Glade to freshen the air and rub your hands with lemon cologne after you've had your snacks.  On some lines, there are even personal headsets and flat screen TVs. Oh, and there are snazzy curtains (think of The Gates in Central Park) and most awesome of all, they don' blare cheap bad pop ballads and dance tunes from the 70s over the speaker system!
