Leave me dry
Kill yourself for recognition
Kill yourself for another start
Don't leave me high
Don't leave me dry
The best thing you've had has gone away

Hanoi rains interminably. Seems like the sky ripped open and the sea above has come pouring down for the last week. Drizzling, gushing – the Hanoi spring brings warmth and slick streets and oh heaps of thoughts. Wrote 600 words this morning. Somehow they don't quite fit into the whole but will try to keep plugging away.
It's tempting to look up and wish God would say it's gonna be all right, but He hasn't been on the dial for a while. Had a crazy dream the other night about unresolved issues and the fears of the world rolling down from my shoulders (complete with a groovy guru, Julia Roberts and walking across a swamp), but hey – keep on plugging away and I'm slowly coming to the that familiar feeling of resolute get-up-do-your-thing let's go do it, let's do it feeling. The last time this happened was in the fjordlands of New Zealand. Funny how the same feeling that came with the rush of glacial lakes can occur in an empty kitchen.
Well, it's time to break the mirror, throw myself into these experiences and come out on the other side.
Let's see how it goes. Hope to write another 1,000 words today.
wooo .just took a look at your latest photos. BRILLIANT! i totally dig em...
