Look at the Emperor
New clothes. Total overhaul. Why? 'Before I was sort of the alt-yuppie, except my stuff was done on the cheap. Maybe I'll go for full yuppie-flava or something different (Bay area geek? Northwest outdoors?).
Ink and I had a recent conversation where we agreed that we in our late quarter-lives still dressed as if we're college kids, or worse... teenagers. I'm usually all good to go with a t-shirt and jeans. Have been for the longest time.
But now? I dunno. I suppose I want to feel like I'm growing, like I'm an adult, which means wardrobe overhaul. I think I picked a bad time to do it though, cause the 80s are crazy. Or maybe after having a backpack of 5 shirts and two pants for a year makes me want to throw everything out and start over.
Is clothing just a manifestation of greater change? I find myself looking at furniture and apartments. The horror.
