Was looking around and saw that an old buddy is now partner at a consulting firm.  Here's a short explanation of what he does:

Additionally, [he] has developed a methodology for strategic planning that enables companies to build strategies under environments of great uncertainty. This dynamic strategy capability empowers the organization to become a competitive intelligence engine that distills cutting edge information into decision-making criterion as part of a dynamic and ongoing strategic planning process. This dynamic strategy capability picks up where scenarios and war-gaming leave off, adding new elements of ongoing speed, flexibility, and agility in response to external factors.

Furthermore:

Developed product roadmap rationalization process for major software and peripherals player which prioritizes the right products for the right global markets based on competitive advantage and market intelligence
Led dynamic strategy process and war-gaming effort in Fortune 500 Investor Owned Utility to build a scenario based strategic planning process

I'm very happy for him.  He's definitely done well for himself.  He has a gorgeous wife and what seems to be a rewarding lifestyle. Part of growing up is learning to accept your decisions for what they are. Part of me, the ex-banker, understands the stuff above.  The other part, the one who left that behind, calls bullshit.  He's always been a great bullshitter.  It seems as if he's found the perfect gig. Perhaps not. Perhaps the company bio is just bad grammar.
