Oprah rocks.  With her Angel Lane project to build homes for the displaced by Katrina in Houston, Texas, she has done more publicly than the US govt. ever did.

Hanoi rains interminably.  Seems like the sky ripped open and the sea above has come pouring down for the last week.

Now, you may not be able to pick Johnny out of an Asian crowd – and I couldn't either until I remembered that I saw this horrendous movie with my Dad before I left for Asia.

Vietnam sure loves its motorbikes.  Everything is drive through.  Want food? Park your bike next to the curb and wait for a street vendor to come over.

I saw this poster near my neighborhood.  It's a UN posting against the avian flu.  Basically, when in doubt, just boil the hell out of your poultry. Seems like the Vietnamese is not taking this soon-to-be epidemic that seriously.  Chickens still squawk in the marketplace, and
