Travels

Just posted selected photos from Turkey.. mainly of Istanbul and Cappadocia.  I love slide film! Cafes, the Mediterranean, hikes, great food – man I miss that country!

Some photos were saved!  Most of them were ruined from a crappy developer, but thank goodness for my absent-mindedness.. I had forgotten some rolls in my bag.. will be posting more on Flickr soon.

The place is too steeped in college memories – and I was too uncreative to break out of that.  Where I graffitied with Bingo. Where I smoked with the kids. Where I talked with Joe the jazz bum. Where I sketched, read, studied, learned, played, and rowdied.

Decided to do a little update with the blog. Like me, it needs a little cleaning. Still not happy with the banner, but that will come. Took off the tipjar and the On the Road lists – obviously, since I'm not traveling any longer (sniff) those are obsolete. Added

AUUUUUGH! I hate film.  Dad said he knew a good place for film processing nearby. I told him, "Look, use Ritz Camera." He says, "No, that's too far -- I know a great place." Ok, Dad, here ya go. Six months worth of pictures. Thanks

I am seriously f.r.e.a.k.i.n.g out in Texas surburbia. Really. Cut lawns. Christmas lights. Gated communities. MALLS. The whole shebang. Fish. You're out of the water.
