Travels

I'm going crazy (in a good way). Back in Istanbul and it's gorgeous here in December. All the lights are out.. really cool cause with all the old castles and mosques and acqueducts here, the lights (different colors, mind you) really make an impression. Kind of

Grounded flights, delays.. and again mass confusion as the officials don't care to notify passengers and relatives that their flights are canceled or delayed – sometimes upwards to 6 or 7 hours.  The reason?  A lot of planes don't have adequate radar equipment to find the runway through the fog.

I am not even going to get into apartment searches, headhunter fees, job hunts and all the other stuff.  Getting internet service set up is already a headache.

Shit – how am I going to explain to the JFK guys that all those flights between Cairo and Istanbul was only because I needed to use my miles to get back to the States?

And it doubly sucks because outside of the jungle, Kumily has absolutely nothing to do.  I've read a couple of books, drank lots of tea, got YupNo to bring food to me, but that's it.  Great scenery, lousy nightlife.
