Twentysomething

Spotless malls in Hong Kong had corridors filled with Filipino maids and servants picnicking on tarp during the weekends.  Efficient trains in Tokyo were filled with drunk and snoring businessmen.

We didn't get a Christmas tree this year. We strung some lights on our potted palm plant instead, but next year, we're going to have a proper Christmas, with family and candles and everything.

Broke my arm and dislocated my elbow while snowboarding. Joe and I made a night drive through fog and icy roads to get back to San Francisco on Sat, but I have to wait until Mon. before I will l have the chance to see a surgeon. I am watching

But how good was that time!  There was a wonton noodle stand in an alleyway near my apartment.  The vendor lady would often ladle extra portions for me, recognizing that I lived down the block.
