TV can be fun!
A couple of shows that will pry me away from my magazines and blank screen (I hate that screen, staring at me sullenly, daring me to type something trite -- I'll show it!)
History Channel: This is one of my favorite stations -- who doesn't like shows about barbarians?? But starting Monday, the series "Digging for the Truth" will take on Petra (see my photos). One of my favorite destinations anywhere, I really think that Jordan is underrated. It's incredible – awe-inducing, inspiring, difficult, fantastic – really a great great destination that makes you appreciate being human. Check it out. March 19 at 9 pm EST.
Discovery: Just stop it with the American Chopper Who really likes a show about putting together customized Harleys? I guess a lot of folks. What I'm excited about? Planet Earth. In high-definition. Seriously, this will be just.. oh.. just beautiful. Whatever your pretensions regarding climate change, religion, entertainment, urban vs agricultural priorities.. whatever it is, everyone can get on board with this show. It promises gorgeous shots into this little green ball of ours – never before seen shots. I'm already excited just anticipating it. The best moments of my life have been in realization that we are blessed to be a part of this world and this will be the closest I'll come to touching the divine while in the comfort of my couch! Mini series starts March 26 at 8 pm EST.
