Whirlwind

Just came back from a whirlwind tour of the Mekong Delta.  Resting for the New Year festivities in Saigon before heading to the island of Phu Quoc for some beach and diving.  Highlights to be elaborated later:

• Floating market at Cai Rang: fruits and vegetables and produce, all transacted via boats.. homes on stilts!
• Renting a POS motorcycle to explore the countryside, battery broke down, engine died and some absolutely gorgeous moments.
• Mosquito infested rooms. Damm.
• Sailing through the delta canals, walking along flower markets, and a big giant statue of Uncle Ho in the boondocks.
