Hangouts
All over the world, I see groups of men huddled among rusty scissors and jars of antiseptic lotion (what is in that green stuff they rub on your face before hacking away with a dull razor-blade?).
An add-on to the last post: barbershops.
Is this the last bastion of male fiefdom or what? The workplace has gender-parity (sort of), and that goes for the athletic fields and even strip joints too. Seems like barbershops are the only places left where men can come, gossip – ahem, I meant discuss – sports, politics and the various physical attributes of their neighborhood tart in that form fitting mini-skirt/burkha.

There's some comfort to a barbershop, after all. Here in Turkey and the Middle East, runners will actually bring little cups of coffee and tea on silver plates into the barbershops as the men hang out for hours. probably ruminating on the pros and cons of 1) sideburns off or 2) sideburns on.
Then again – I suppose women have their salons... seems like the hair business is good for all people.
