As my brain zoned out on a bus ride:

When I get back to New York, I'm gonna try and do a photo essays by taking a photo of a person from each country in the world.  Yeah yeah, there's someone who's already done that.. but on the road, I can't help but see how all the different ethnicities blend into one another. Seems like we have more in common than some would like to think.  Turks flow into Persians who mesh into Indians who gradiate into Inonesians who blend into Vietnamese who seem disarmingly similar to Chinese – China flows back towards Central Asia (and back to the Turks again) and up to Russia over to the Slavic countries, down to the Germanic peoples and across the valleys of Europe down to Spain and so on... jump the Pacific to South America and cross the Bering Strait – why it's Asia again. Round and round it goes and Africa, dark and silent, starts it all...

Tea vs coffee.  I want to have an interactive map detailing world histories based on the spread of tea vs coffee – that eternal battles for the human spirit at rest.. tea vs coffee.. such varieties globally, such rooted traditions and rich histories!
