He Doesn't Need Peter or Mary

He's been all over the blogs and I'll add to the clamor. Hurrah for Paul Potts! If you didn't know by now, Paul, a mobile phone salesman from Wales, recently won the Britain's Got Talent show. I'll refrain from saying too much as to not spoil the fun, but with all the cynicism in the news feeds, it's nice to see a sliver of happy news. I don't get excited much about soft-news, but in this case, all the pieces came together for Paul in the performance below, and he deserves a shot at his dream. Every time I watch this clip (and I've watched it oh.. about 20 times in the past three days), I can't help but smile.
