Seems like every few weeks I realize that I don't update nearly often as I'd like to.  There are a couple of culprits in recent months:

1) New job.  Learning new faces, cultures, jargon, schedules, tasks drives me batty.  Luckily there is a Street Fighter arcade machine that I can play on.  Vega rulez.  There's also a basketball court, a beach volleyball area, ping pong tables and other fun stuff that I don't use cause my eyes are glued on the monitor.  It's not bad.  I have been making time for the gym, though. I'm petitioning my boss for a Wii and a couch for our immediate group.  It'll go well with the Harvard Business Review magazines we have lying around.

2. Finding an apt.  It's pretty difficult to find an apartment now that I'm older, wiser and ultimately, less willing to put up with crap as I did in New York.  Does it mean that I'm more choosy? Yeah.  I want a dishwasher, for instance. Laundry indoors would be nice.  Lots of natural sunlight, a usable kitchen space and hardwood flooring are on the wishlist.  Ink likes old places.  I'm different, I think I'm ready for a new building where the AC works and the paint doesn't chip off and the rats haven't made their homes yet. So ha-ha to me for wanting all that AND having the apt be in the right location in SF.  In this city, you're never more than 3 blocks away from the crazies.  I love the crazies – they're mostly the harmless, mumbling gobbledeegook types, but then there are the rancid aggressive alcoholic types too.  Anyways, have I mentioned that I hate real estate agents? You suck real estate agents!

3. Finding friends.  As with an apartment, I'm choosier.  Finding friends who aren't boring, don't suck and generally happy is pretty hard, too.

4. Other stuff.  Like – biking all over the place, playing tennis, and sleeping.  I get about 5 hours on average a night.. a far cry from the 10 hours I enjoyed while living the life of leisure.

More to come this weekend, hopefully (after I catch up on Heroes and Grey's Anatomy).
