Snapshots Up
Internet's a bitch in China. Can't access blogspot, NY Times or other western media sources (well, the connection to them is so slow sometimes that it's not worth it).
I've just flickred some pics I've taken with Yuppienomad's Canon Powershot for Yunnan. Hopefully I can somehow get my SLR's photos up shortly.

Anyhoos, will write more about Yunnan, really some of the gentlest people on the planet. For now, hafta catch the 18 hour bus to Laos!

18 hours to Laos? Yikes!!! I'm planning to go there later this year, please let me know how it is!

I've heard horror stories about Laos bus and it's not true. Sure, it's slow as ketchup through a Heinz bottle, but the people are friendly, the roads ok (not like parts of China), and the scenery mesmerizing. Not as bad as Vietnam, I'd say – just ask Vinicio for his opinion on bad bus rides.
18 hours from Kunming to the first sizable town in northern Laos, give or take 5 hours.
