Swimming, for me, is a bitch. I swim as well as a fat kid waddling through quicksand.

And if I don't move, I'll become one of those people, the ones who hang onto their peak by recounting their happier days when those days were just as stagnant as now.

Right down to the bus rides, the cafeteria and the social interactions.  It’s all about cliques, and as the new kid, the n00b, the grunt, I’m transported back to reactions and emotions that I thought had long been extinct.

The ergonomics team came to my work area (glorified cube) over the weekend.  Yes, the company has a team dedicated to ergonomics.

I know that there's a delicate balance for a newbie in figuring things out for yourself and asking the right questions so you're not the pig in the pipe – i.e. the bottleneck that reinvents the wheel.

So take that and add in a bunch of corporate systems that needs learning, and acronyms – my goodness people love acronyms around here – and processes and all the other junk and I'm pretty much working straight through the day.
