Traveling together on the road prevented regular showers. At times, stumbling out of the trails with our boots wrapped in mud and skin crusted with sweat, we both stank, but that I understood.

I don't know too many people in SF with kids. I've only recently begun to hang out with other couples – and I still feel the most comfortable with my single friends.
