U-Hauls, Bridesmaids & Backwards Mountain
I recently passed through my quarter-life crisis, where it was really hard to find anyone who really enjoyed what they do. People in this town are a cynical bunch. Make your money, then get out. That's why it's so awesome to have friends who really enjoy what they do. While Kerry may be a starving artist, on stage, he's a totally changed person – all that angst is replaced with, for a lack of better word, a natural high. He's drugged up, but he's drugged up on life. Check him and the rest of the cast out at their current show, "U-Hauls, Bridesmaids & Backwards Mountain" -- part of the Asian American Theater Festival going on in New York. Their last show is Tuesday June 19th at La MaMa stage in the East Village. Come in without pretension for a rollicking good time as the crew does a MadTV treatment of Asian stereo-types, gender hijinks and middle class growth pains!
