How to Cook Lobster (in a Humane Way)
Ok - my favorite dish of all time is pretty simple: boiled lobster. Butter, without or with, doesn't matter. It's the best dish ever. If there is a God, then He is good. Ok, so here with the help of my buddy Kerry, is the quick and easy way to prepare a lobster in a humane way (having the lobster die a slow boiling death is pretty cruel, don't you think? – They actually twitch.. )
Ingredients: 1 lobster
Time: 9 minutes
Equipment: Pot, water, knife.
1. Buy the lobster and think of how good it will taste.
2. Wash the lobster with cold water. Be sure to psych yourself up for the next steps.
3. Be one with the lobster. Life is a gift.
4. Get into the right emotional state.
5. Stab the lobster between the last legs, be sure the blade hits the middle of the hemispheres. Knife straight down the middle and sever the head in two.
6. Go through the inevitable angst – but know that the lobster died a quick death.
7. Place the lobster in a pot with two cups of water. (Or one can of beer.)
8. Turn the heat on high and boil the water. Cook the lobster for 6 minutes. Wait for the lobster to turn bright red and ready yourself for a mmm-mmm GOOD time!

Hahaha, Hilarious pics. Too bad I am not a fan of lobster. So plain to me. Sorry :(

Really? That's insane! Lobster (1). Steak (2). Pho (3). Then the rest. =)

Yea, never liked it much. I feel like of all shellfish lobster has the least flavor, so to me it's like crab (which i love) but tasteless.

i don't know if i could ever "sever the head in two" of a live lobster. i think i'd rather just boil them. maybe i'd leave the room while it is boiling, so i don't have to hear it squeaking or look at it twitching. if you think about it lobsters are pretty gross--they look like huge insects. That's why I always like to eat them after they've been chopped up so you don't have to think about what they really look like. :)
