He's been all over the blogs and I'll add to the clamor.  Hurrah for Paul Potts!  If you didn't know by now, Paul, a mobile phone salesman from Wales, recently won the Britain's Got Talent show.  I'll refrain from saying

I like what Facebook is doing. By allowing third-party applications to thrive, it's set to become the logical next step in tech evolution -- from a desktop operating system a la Windows to a social, user-oriented Net-based operating platform.  Communities can now work, share and communicate

Actually, Web 2.0 is reducing the hypocrisy in society.  Within a generation, the youths who today are comfortable with expressing themselves online will be in positions to scoff at the antiquated way of thinking where sharing candid images of your private life is taboo.

Fast Company has an interesting look inside the Facebook culture.  I used to work at a social networking company also, and while it was a successful venture, the pace was more risk-mitigation vs innovation-driven.  Some of the stuff in the article I can relate to – like workaround solutions
